Liam's First Shots

Today Liam had his two month check up and first round of shots with the pediatrician.  He is gaining his weight he is now 9lbs 7oz. The Dr.said he is very healthy and that he looks great. He's at his normal weight and height now.  He was so cute smiling at the doctor while he was getting his check up.  He cried during his 3 shots he had and an oral that he took in his mouth. Mommy was there holding his hands and comforting him..I felt so bad for him but he did great.  Mommy and Liam took a long nap together after.  Liam just wanted to be held and wouldn't let me leave him when we got home.  Liam is a very brave boy anyway.  He never cried during his circumcision either.  We all made it through okay!

Liam's 1st Toys R' US Visit!

Today Liam had his first visit to Toys 'R Us (Yes he's got us trained already!!)  Mommy and Daddy took Liam and he had fun looking around at all the toys and was very alert.  He was a little tired and we fed him while walking around the store. People kept stopping to look a Liam and said how cute he was!! We're such proud parents already!! It was fun!

Liam's 1st Outing

Today Liam had his first outing (besides his trips to the Pediatrician) to Daddy's work.  Daddy had a meeting at the office and brought Liam with him.  He had fun meeting all of Daddy's co-workers and getting lots of attention! 

Liam's Welcome Party!

Today was Liam's Arrival Party!  It was lots of fun visiting with our family and friends and they enjoyed meeting Liam for the first time.  Thanks to Grammie for all her hard work planning the party.  The party was a jungle theme and we had lots of jungle decorations including balloons, jungle animals, and a jungle diaper cake that Grammie made. Guests  signed a photo matt that had Liam's picture on it that we can frame and hang in Liam's nursery. We also had an advice book for our guests to sign and and write parenting advice for Mommy & Daddy.  The menu was a BBQ we had BBQ chicken, slow cooked BBQ pulled pork, cold slaw, fruit salad, potato salad, homemade mac & cheese, jungle animal cupcakes, and animal crackers for party favors. To top off the party was Liam's Jungle Cake!  It was a yellow cake with fresh strawberries that had a picture of Liam on the cake.  It was ADORABLE!  All our guest really liked the idea! We decided not to have a baby shower when I was pregnant.  We wanted to wait until after Liam arrived so we could thank all our friends and family for their support. We waited until the right time when he was old enough (6 weeks old) and Chris and I were up for company.  It was so wonderful to have just one day where everyone came over and visited with Liam.  Liam was such a good host he let everyone hold him and he enjoyed the attention. Liam got a lot of special gifts too including; diapers (lots of diapers!), a homemade quilt, infant seat, infant basketball hoop, clothes, swing and lots more. 

Liam is 5 weeks old!

Liam is growing so much! He turned 5 weeks on Friday and I can't believe how fast the time has gone by already!  He is doing so well and is such a fun baby!  He is starting to be more alert now and observes everything around him.  He loves spending time with his Dad and bonding with me too.  We are so blessed!
