First Swim of the Summer!

Today Liam and I took our first dip in a pool to start our summer! We got a BIG kiddie pool to use this year. Liam also has a beach ball sprinkler he likes to run in. We also bought a sandbox and water table for him to try out this summer. Liam had fun today staying cool in his kiddie pool. It was a hot Texas day and it felt good to take a dip with him. we look forward to bringing Liam for his first trip to the beach this summer which will be lots of fun!

Talking Up A Storm!

Liam is busy talking saying all kinds of words. Everyday he says a new word or phrase and it's
really fun to listen to him. Some of his favorites so far are: Baby, Car, Bye, Daddy, MaMa, Dog,
Tractor, Cheese, Cookie, Juice, box, Choo Choo, Out, Up, Hi, Bug, Dog, Bird, Toes, Head, Eye.

Daddy Gets Swine Flu

Today we found out that my  Daddy has Swine Flu. He's very sick and contagious right now so he has to stay locked in his bedroom for the next few days so he won't get me or Mommy sick. Mommy is always washing my hands and cleaning up everything and making me stay downstairs in my playroom or outside. I get angry sometimes because I can tell Daddy is here and I want to see him but I can't. It gets me so frustrated I just cry "Daddy" 

I was so happy when Mommy let me finger paint today so I could make a get well soon card for Daddy. Mommy let me push it under his door and I said "Hi Daddy" and knocked on the door. I hope he feels better soon I miss him.

Liam had his 15 month check up today. His pediatrician said he's doing great! He weighs 23 lbs 6 oz, is 10 1/4 in. high and his head is 18 1/4 in. Liam had his flu shot which he did really well with only crying for a minute. The Pediatrician did notice his heart skipping beats again. It took us by surprise because last time she said she didn't hear anything. Sometimes it's there sometimes not. She wants us to bring for a special heart ultrasound to check  to be sure everything is okay. We will be going on Feb. 12th.  Liam is feeling great and is normal otherwise. I'm so proud of all that he's accomplished. He is working on walking still not confident but I know he will get it soon!

Liam had his check up today.  He is doing wonderful! He weighs 23 lbs and is 29 in in length. He also had his 1 yr shots today. It was rough at first but he did great! Th Dr. also said they didn't hear anything wrong with his heart and that it looks like his murmur has gone away which was great news!

Liam is slowly but surely gaining his weight back. He  was weighed today at the Pediatrician's office today. He should be back at his birth weight of 7lbs 2 oz but since he's been breastfeeding he hasn't been able to gain all his weight back but he is healthy and dirtying enough diapers that there is no real concern.

Gymnastics Fun

Today Liam had fun at J & R Gymnastics' open play day today. Every Friday the gym opens up  for playtime for toddlers. Liam had fun learning to walk on a balance beam, jumping on a trampoline and doing forward rolls. He even had fun jumping in the foam pit filled of hundres of foam squares. It was perfect fun for a rainy day.

A Boy & His Dog

Liam and Scamper are the best of friends! Scamper is really gentle with Liam and protects him. Liam is sweet to Scamper too.  He doesn't pull ears or harass her Liam LOVES his doggie. They can play together for over an hour.  It's so much fun to watch them play. I'm so happy that I was able to capture them in action!  Enjoy!

Liam's First Art Class

Today Liam went to his first art class at Bisque Bistro called "Mini Monet." The class reads a story and then makes a project to go along with what they read. Today they read the story "The Kissing Hand" and then made a hand print on stained pottery. It was so much fun!  Liam had fun painting with a paint brush and making his tiny handprint. We'll definitely be going again soon.
