Last Day of Preschool & Pre K Talent Show

Today was bitter sweet.. it's Liam's last day of Preschool. I can't believe the year is finished. It seemed like it went by too fast. Liam did wonderful I'm so proud of all that he learned and accomplished this year at school. We're so blessed to have him attend such a wonderful school and that he had an amazing teacher. Liam just loved her so much and she loved Liam.
To celebrate the last day of school the Pre-K put on a talent show. When I heard about this I thought it was a little much for preschoolers to get up on stage and perform. I wasn't sure if Liam would want to do it and did not know what he would like to do for his talent. He loves music and loves to sing but being that it's a Christian school I was not sure singing his favorite songs like Jenny 867-5309 or Will I am & Britney's Scream & Shout or Kiss Rock N Roll All Night would be appropriate. He loves singing but I just couldn't think of a song that would be appropriate. I then thought since he loves Math so much maybe he could do math problems on a chalkboard. When I asked him if he wanted to do math he said " No, people might get bored."(that was too funny!)  So I thought again really hard and one Sunday at church Liam won an award for memorizing all his bible verses for the month in one week. Liam has really liked learning his bible verses and getting rewards in his sunday school class. So I asked him if he'd like to say a bible verse for his talent and he smiled really  big and "Yes, that would be fun!' So I asked him to think about what verse he wanted to say and he said with no hesitation "Psalm 12:7." So we  began rehearsing it. I was happy he picked that one it was short and sweet and we added a cute little ending.
He was awesome practicing at home and at church in front of this friends in Bible school but he got shy when I asked him to practice at school in front of his class. His teacher said if he didn't do it it was okay. So the big day came and I gave his teacher notes just in case to help coach him. He waited really patiently since he was next to last person to go. He stood right up on the stage and said his bible verse perfectly. I was so proud of him. He was nervous and said it in his low nervous voice he uses but he said it and surprised his teacher so much. But I wasn't too surprised.  I knew he could do it. He's such a sweet and loving guy. I really think he enjoyed watching all of this classmates do their talent and realized if they can do it so can I.
